Art Fart

I teach elementary art to homeschool students.

It is wonderful.

I'm reading an introductory essay in a history of painting book right now. It is pretentious and agonizing.

It is not wonderful.

We need an art teacher at my school. Only a couple days a week, think you can squeeze it in your schedule? :)
Very cool that you are still teaching and I'm glad it's going well. Miss you!

I can actually sympathize. In my ballet classes at BSU they made us study these horrid books explaining technique and the history of really beautiful movements. Instead of being awesome and illustrative, they were super boring and about as ugly and useless as they come. I'm pretty sure my grades on those written tests were reflective of this. I can admire outstanding ballet technique when it's in front of me, but reading about how to actually perform a majestic jete' is not so majestic.

Awesome to you for using your love of art to help and enhance the lives of kids. How awesome it must be to have an artsy fartsy mom like you. Jaden is one lucky kiddo!

I used to do after school art classes at some local schools. http://www.geocities.com/theartkids/ is a great website that has some really neat K-6 art lessons and ideas.
